Why does my HP printer not STAY installed with my HP laptop?

I have to reinstall my HP Photosmart 4280 with my HP Pavilion every time I go to print something. What’s the deal?? I can’t just carry this CD with me all the time!

Is this a good HP laptop deal?

Good deals on HP DV6500t Laptop computer?

Anyone know any sites with cheap HP Pavilion DV6500t laptops (customizable?)…would there be any cheaper sites than the HP site itself?

THANKS!

MacBook vs. HP laptop: Deals and specs?

Okay, I’m a guy who loves to write, A LOT! A few months ago my iBook’s screen went on the frits, only working at varying angles. I checked out the price to get it fixed, and figured it would be better just to get a new laptop. The one I have is five years old and uses OS X Tiger. It doesn’t have garageband, which is something I really want, plus it’s pretty outdated. So I figured I would just by the newest, and cheapest, new MacBook. It’s priced at a thousand bucks. Then I found out that you can get an HP pavilion notbook for far less. Even the most expensive HP was under 1000, and it had more features and better memory and everything. But the thing is, I have an iPod, which would require buying iTunes and a lot of transfering of files. I would have a lot of files to transfer regardless, and from a Mac to a PC for that matter.
Plus, it won’t have garageband, which I really wanted. I would make monthly payments on all of them, and the HP notebooks have a lot lower monthly payments than Mac. So, knowing what I want/have, can you help tell me which I’d be better off getting?
I’m also on a tight budget. I’m buying it myself, and I’m just a high-schooler working a few hours at a movie theatre per week. But I figured that I could pay for either of them. I’m just looking for whick choice will get me more of what I want for my money
