Both are running some pretty good specials, and the prices on the same laptop w/ the same specs are about the same. Are there any advantages/disadvantages between buying from HP directly or from Best Buy? I wouldn’t be buying an extended warranty from either place, but I am curious if there is a defect in the laptop, who would be easier/cheaper to deal with. Would HP make me pay shipping in that kind of instance? Or would Best Buy give me more of a problem??

I just pretty much surf the net and upload photos. Since most of the laptops on the market have what I need, my only concern is an attractive laptop. And the special edition hp laptops or high gloss laptops are the only ones to catch my eye. Someone in my area is selling one for 0 with a few extras which I think is a pretty good deal, however the laptop has a lot of things I won’t be using. Anyone know of a more basic laptop that fits my physical description without going over 0?
0? The guy bought it for 0 from best buy 2 months ago and still has the receipt. I’m offering him 0 because he’s including the receipt along with a laptop bag, SD card, optical mouse, USB memory stick and a 80 GB external hard drive. I thought it was a good deal but then again I don’t know much about laptops. Can someone else put in their input???
